On December 12, 2009, a new update will be available for the Catan Online World. It will provide many new features such as statistics, game settings, alternative game pieces, and a new starting window.

The carrier of the data center housing the PlayCatan and Catan Online World servers informed us that maintenance work will take place from November 24 to 27, each time from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST (4 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST).
Regrettably, during each of these periods we are likely to expect up to 3 service interruptions of at the most 10 minutes each. Additionally, network traffic may be affected (i.e., slowed down) for the whole duration of those three days. – Forum login will also be affected during service interruption.
We ask you to kindly excuse any inconvenience that might occur in this context; unfortunately, the matter is beyond our control.
