Apple has provided Java SE 6 for Intel-based Macs with 64-bit processors (Intel Core2Duo). Installation is carried out either via automatic system update, or you manually download it for free at
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/javaformacosx105update1.html
Please note: This release is for 64-bit, Intel-based Macs only and cannot run on PowerPC-based or 32-bit Intel-based Macs (Intel CoreDuo).
Only the Catan Online World Client Version 2.358 (or later) for Mac OS X supports Java SE 6. If needed, please update your COW client to the most current version.
In addition, you have to prompt your Mac to actually use Java SE 6 instead of J2SE 5.0. For this purpose, please activate the program “Java Preferences,“ either under „Applications" / „Utilities" / „Java" or via Spotlight.
On the page “General,“ look for the array “Java Application Runtime Settings“ (lower part of the window). Please use your mouse to move the entry ”Java SE (64-bit)“ to the top position (above “J2SE 5.0“ – see illustration).
Afterwards, the Catan Online World Client will use Java SE 6.
